## Description

The International Society of Biourbanism (ISB) is a pioneering network established in 2010, dedicated to interdisciplinary research on urban and architectural practices that emphasize biophilic principles. By integrating expertise from architects, engineers, biologists, landscape architects, mathematicians, philosophers, sociologists, and psychologists, the ISB aims to explore the complexities of urban organisms and their interactions with both natural and built environments. Their initiatives include educational programs like the Biourbanism Summer School, which focuses on enhancing communication and community engagement within urban spaces. The society also offers a platform for the promotion of sustainable development strategies, landscape architecture, and design concepts that prioritize relational dynamics and sustainability. Through its various projects, publications, and advocacy efforts, ISB addresses critical issues related to urban planning, ecology, and social welfare, striving to create environments that foster human connection and ecological balance.
