## Description

Bordeaux Improvisation Professionnelle (BIP) is a professional theatre and improvisation company based in Bordeaux, serving audiences and clients across the South-West of France. Founded in 2010 by professional Bordeaux actors, the company is led artistically by actor and improviser Richard Perret. BIP approaches improvisation as a theatrical discipline and a tool for writing, artistic exchange and creative performance, with an emphasis on exploring and challenging the form.

The company offers a varied programme of shows, including 3D, Nü, Match d’impro, Classik Impro, Lettre Ouverte, Trio d’impro and Duo d’impro. Its performances range from improvised matches between two teams, overseen by a referee, to other formats and productions. BIP also creates bespoke shows shaped around clients’ themes and offers workshops, training, interventions and custom-designed creative projects. Through its performances and activities, the company invites people to share ideas, exchange perspectives and experience improvisation together. Its website also features an event calendar, information about the team and a monthly newsletter for those who want to keep in touch.
