## Description

Birch Investment Management is an independent, fee-only fiduciary financial planning and wealth management firm based in Brookings, South Dakota. Founded by Brian Berkenhoff, CFA, the firm helps families align their finances with their values and work toward financial independence. Its approach is designed to simplify clients’ financial lives, clarify their priorities, and connect their money with the goals that matter to them.

Birch provides comprehensive wealth management through personalized financial plans and ongoing advice. Planning may include cash flow analysis, charitable giving, education and estate planning, investment management, tax planning, and retirement planning. The firm also helps clients navigate major life transitions, such as retirement, job changes, divorce, the loss of a spouse, or receiving a financial windfall. Investment management considers tax efficiency and risk mitigation, while clients can rely on the firm as a long-term advisor and sounding board.

Birch serves people seeking an ongoing advisory relationship, typically with at least $500,000 in investable assets.
