## Description

Birth Illuminated is the doula practice of Ellen, based in Eindhoven and serving families within approximately 35–45 kilometres, including the Brabantse Kempen, Tilburg, Den Bosch and Noord-Limburg. Working as a doula since 2019, Ellen provides personal, continuous, non-medical support to expectant parents before and during birth. She supports both home and hospital births, working alongside the partner and the attending midwife or doctor rather than replacing them.

Support begins with conversations to explore birth preferences, concerns and boundaries. Ellen helps parents create a tailored birth plan, share information for informed choices, and feel prepared for the arrival of their baby. During labour, she offers practical and emotional support, including breathing techniques and relaxation aids such as a TENS device, rebozo cloth and birth ball. Birth Illuminated also offers private pregnancy courses, including HypnoBirthing and a one-day “Birth with Confidence” course, as well as pregnancy and postpartum massage. Families can also rent a birth pool and Elle TENS device. The practice welcomes prospective clients to arrange an introductory meeting.
