## Description

The British International Studies Association (BISA) is a learned society dedicated to advancing the study of international relations and related subjects through teaching, research, and connections among scholars. Its international community includes more than 2,500 members across over 80 countries. BISA supports this community through conferences, events, funding opportunities, publications, professional networks, and recognition of academic achievement.

Members can take part in an annual in-person conference and a virtual conference, as well as specialist working groups covering areas such as security, international political economy, climate politics, migration, gender, and global health. BISA also supports undergraduate and postgraduate networks and offers grants for research, teaching, and group activities. Its prizes recognize contributions to research, books, articles, and teaching.

The association publishes the Review of International Studies and the European Journal of International Security, alongside a book series. Through these activities, BISA provides resources and opportunities for students, researchers, and educators, while encouraging debate and collaboration across international studies.
