## Description

**Bismuth** is an innovative blockchain protocol and platform designed to revolutionize the cryptocurrency landscape. Launched in 2015, it combines advanced technology with user-centric features, including unique private contracts and a revolutionary Hyperblock system that significantly reduces blockchain size and enhances performance. As an open-source platform, Bismuth enables developers to create a wide range of projects, offering customizable plugins to extend scaling capabilities and tailor user experiences.

The ecosystem includes robust solutions like OpenField for data storage, advanced cryptography for quantum attack protection, and a uniquely designed second-layer proof of stake blockchain known as HyperNodes. Additionally, Bismuth promotes privacy through integration with Tor's onion network and plans to introduce stealth tokens for enhanced encryption.

Supported by a team of experts, including academia figures like Professor Geir Hovland, Bismuth continuously embraces innovation and efficiency in decentralized applications. It is not just a blockchain but a comprehensive construction set for the future of digital transactions.
