At Bistro Badia, we are passionate about Lebanese and Levantine cuisine, which essentially means it's all about my family's recipes. Ever since I was a child, I loved being in the kitchen with my mother. The delicious aroma always drew me in, and I was fascinated by how she could create the most amazing meals from simple and sometimes odd-looking ingredients. Despite the chaos of my siblings and me, my mother gracefully danced around the kitchen, ensuring that our bellies were full and satisfied. When she would offer us a taste before serving, it was pure delight. Whether we were happy or not, we had to eat everything on our plates. My mother's name is Badia, and I owe her not just my love for cooking and good food, but so much more. When I decided to start a food blog, it was clear to me that it would revolve around my family's dishes and carry my mother's name. You can expect a variety of Lebanese and Levantine recipes here, most of which I learned from Badia, who herself learned from her mother and siblings. As with any family recipes, they have evolved over generations, and this will be no exception. That's why I also like to explore beyond traditional borders. From time to time, you'll find recipes that I've learned from my mother but have reinterpreted out of sheer joy for cooking. I'm also driven by the love of fusion food, so you can expect a fantastic mix of Levantine flavors combined with worldly aromas. My goal is to create a very personal food blog that not only offers delicious traditional Lebanese recipes but also leaves room for personal memories and stories, reinventing itself from time to time without losing its roots.
