# bitcoinblockhalf.com - **Website:** - **Primary alias:** `bitcoinblockhalf.com` ## Description Bitcoin Block Reward Halving Countdown is a website that provides valuable information about the upcoming block halving event in the Bitcoin network. This event, which occurs approximately every four years, involves a reduction in the block reward given to miners. Currently, miners receive 6.25 bitcoins for every block they mine, but after the halving, this reward will decrease to 3.125 bitcoins per block. This reduction in block rewards is a deliberate design choice to make Bitcoin a deflationary currency, similar to gold. As time passes, the issuance of bitcoins decreases, making them scarcer and potentially acting as a hedge against inflation. In contrast, fiat currencies like the US dollar experience inflation due to an increase in the monetary supply. Bitcoin's issuance is controlled by the network itself, with consensus among all participants being necessary for any changes to be made. The total number of bitcoins that will ever be produced is fixed at 21 million, with halving events occurring every 210,000 blocks. By providing accurate data on Bitcoin's inflation rate, total coins in circulation, and remaining coins to be mined, the Bitcoin Block Reward Halving Countdown website offers users valuable insights into the future supply of bitcoins. Additionally, it showcases past halving event dates and their corresponding price performance, helping users understand the potential impact of the upcoming halving event on the price of Bitcoin. For those interested in tracking the progress of other cryptocurrencies, the website also offers a Litecoin Block Halving Countdown. ## Industries - 💰 Finance - 💰 Investing _(under Finance)_ - 🖥 Computers Electronics and Technology - 🖥 Blockchain and Cryptocurrency _(under Computers Electronics and Technology)_ ## Logos & icons - logo _(primary)_ — PNG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/id-RfcsnzA/w/32/h/32/theme/dark/logo.png?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1720208064414) ## Colors | Name | Hex | Theme | | --- | --- | --- | | Mine Shaft | #333333 | dark | | White | #ffffff | light | | Tree Poppy | #f7931a | accent | ## Fonts - Helvetica Neue — asset _(custom)_ --- _Source: _ _See [/llms.txt](/llms.txt) for a full list of agent-readable pages, and [/auth.md](/auth.md) for how agents authenticate._
