## Description

Hivemind is a peer-to-peer oracle protocol associated with the Truthcoin project, designed to bring accurate information onto a blockchain and enable Bitcoin users to participate in on-chain prediction markets. Its stated aim is to make “cheap talk” more costly by creating markets where participants can express and evaluate forecasts. The project presents prediction markets as tools for improving how knowledge emerges and spreads, and discusses potential applications including measuring public-policy outcomes and exploring futarchy, a model that uses market predictions to inform decisions.

Hivemind provides technical and educational resources rather than a conventional consumer product catalogue. Visitors can access its whitepaper, technical papers, trading materials, presentations, talks, a roadmap, source code and build files. The site also links to a blog, FAQ, interviews and conversations, and offers GitHub and community resources. It describes the protocol’s use of sidechains and notes a later focus on Drivechain as a sidechain-enabling project. Hivemind is presented as an open, research-oriented Bitcoin project, with materials intended for both newcomers and people familiar with Bitcoin-based systems.
