Bitfount is a federated AI and data science platform for life sciences, clinical research, and privacy-preserving collaboration. It connects trial sponsors, pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, contract research organisations, clinics, hospitals, researchers, and AI developers so they can analyse data without transferring it from the organisations that hold it. For clinical trials, Bitfount supports patient recruitment, site feasibility, and trial design by helping identify potentially eligible patients and analyse patient populations. Clinics can review trial matches using data already held in their systems, while sponsors and CROs can gain insights across participating sites. The platform also provides data transfer capabilities to retrieve and standardise imaging and EHR data, as well as federated learning tools to train, fine-tune, validate, and deploy AI models across distributed datasets.

Bitfount is available through a no-code desktop app, an open-source Python SDK, and the AWS Marketplace, with deployment options including on-premises and cloud environments.
