## Description

Backgammon is an informational website dedicated to the game of backgammon and related board games. Created by Tom Keith, the site brings together resources for players at different experience levels, from those learning the basic rules to readers exploring advanced strategy, match analysis, and game variations. Its educational content covers topics such as opening moves, probability, racing, back games, cube handling, pip counting, match play, chouettes, ratings, and tournaments. Visitors can browse articles by topic or author, consult a glossary of backgammon terminology and acronyms, and explore books, pictures, and annotated matches. Featured material includes match analysis, guidance on opening rolls and cube decisions, and discussions of backgammon software and bot comparisons. The site also introduces variations including Acey-Deucey, Nackgammon, Plakoto, and Moultezim. For practical play, it offers a Java backgammon game and a way to play against Motif. Additional sections include a hall of fame, humor, and information about backgammon sets and boards. Together, these resources make the site a broad reference and learning hub for backgammon enthusiasts.
