# BK Opalisko - **Website:** - **Primary alias:** `bkopalisko.sk` ## Description Bežecký klub OPALISKO is a running and skiing club based in Závažná Poruba, Slovakia. The club promotes athletic activity through competitions and events focused on running, cross-country skiing and roller skiing, and works with local and national sports partners to organize races. Its best-known event is Okolo Poludnice, a traditional forest run historically associated with skiers. Held in Závažná Poruba, the race includes distances for adults and young participants and also serves as the Štefan Kubovčík Memorial. The club has organized annual editions for decades, welcoming runners to routes in the area. OPALISKO also hosts competitions for the travelling Opalisko Chalet Cup, including roller-ski races that have formed part of the Slovak Ski Association’s cup series. The club has additionally organized cross-country skiing events in cooperation with the Slovak Ski Association, including a cup final at Štrbské Pleso.
