## Description

BKT bici pública is a Guadalajara-based company that designs, implements, and operates public bike-sharing systems tailored to the needs of cities. With more than 15 years of experience, it combines urban analysis, technology, and operational expertise to make cycling a practical part of public transportation. Its work covers the full lifecycle of a system: assessing local needs, selecting durable materials and bicycles that meet international standards, and managing daily operations, fleet maintenance, and user experience.

BKT has worked on major Mexican programs, including MiBici in Guadalajara and ECOBICI in Mexico City. The systems it operates have generated more than 20 million trips annually, supporting lower-emission travel and healthier, more sustainable urban mobility. The company also promotes accessibility, safety, and inclusion in cycling, including through a gender-perspective implementation guide created with Transeúntas. For cities exploring bike sharing, BKT offers an initial project assessment to help identify potential benefits and local requirements. Its broader mission is to transform urban environments and make streets safer and more welcoming through shared bicycles.
