## Description

Black Breastfeeding Week (BBW) is an empowering movement dedicated to advocating for and celebrating breastfeeding within Black communities. Held annually from August 25th to 31st, BBW emphasizes the importance of connection and community support among Black mothers and families during this vital parenting phase. Under the theme "We Outside!" for 2023, BBW aims to foster engagement through a series of virtual events, workshops, and celebrations designed to uplift and educate participants.

The initiative is supported by the Black Mothers’ Breastfeeding Association, which serves as the fiscal conduit for its operations. BBW actively encourages community involvement and invites individuals to submit event details to promote local gatherings. Sponsorship opportunities are available, highlighting the growth of the initiative and its outreach potential.

With a commitment to increasing awareness and providing resources, BBW not only uplifts the voices of Black mothers but also strengthens community ties through life-changing conversations and shared experiences surrounding breastfeeding and maternal health.
