## Description

Black Gold Arts is a vibrant Manchester-based arts organization focused on amplifying the voices of working-class people of color, the LGBTQ+ community, and their allies. By showcasing often overlooked stories and hidden histories, Black Gold Arts aims to excite, educate, and entertain through diverse artistic mediums such as film, dance, music, visual art, and theatre. This commitment to inclusivity is reflected in their annual festival, which for 2018 is themed The Fierce Four. This festival features four distinctive events from September to December, taking place in both conventional and unconventional venues. Attendees can enjoy an eclectic mix of film screenings, dance performances, spoken word poetry, and theatrical productions. The festival's success is bolstered by partnerships with notable institutions like Whitworth Art Gallery and Contact Theatre. As a company limited by guarantee and a registered charity, Black Gold Arts continues to push boundaries while delivering creative experiences that celebrate diversity and community engagement.
