Black Rooster Maple is a family-owned and operated maple sugaring farm located in the picturesque town of Keene, New York - known as The Home of the High Peaks. With a passion for maple syrup production, we tap 3,500 Adirondack sugar maple trees each spring and carefully collect the maple sap at our sugarhouse. The result is our signature pure and authentic maple syrup.

Founded in 2011 by Kirk, Kristy, and Ryleigh Bassarab, Black Rooster Maple started with just six trees in their backyard. The Bassarab family's dedication to excellence soon led to an expansion to 3,500 taps on vacuum-assisted tubing, along with a state-of-the-art 4' x 14' wood-fired maple syrup evaporator. In addition to our exceptional maple syrup, we have a timberframe storefront where we offer a wide range of maple products for sale.

Our brand name was inspired by our beloved rooster, aptly named Black, who proudly watches over our flock of Rhode Island Red hens.
