## Description

The Association of Black Sports Officials (ABSO), co-founded by Zerrell Stallings and Qur-an Webb in 2016, is a dedicated organization aimed at addressing disparities faced by black sports officials. Established in response to unfair evaluation practices in Connecticut, ABSO has grown from its humble beginnings with just two members to a vital advocate for equity in sports officiating. ABSO offers a comprehensive program called Achieving Better Sports' Outcomes, which provides psycho-educational initiatives tailored for a diverse audience including athletes, sports parents, leagues, and educational institutions. By recognizing the shared challenges between sports and life, ABSO focuses on nurturing personal growth and promoting well-being through its wide-ranging services. Their mission extends to supporting youth and adults alike across public and private sectors, fostering positive results in both athletic and life challenges. ABSO stands firm in its commitment to ensuring equal opportunities for black officials while empowering individuals within the sports community.
