# Black Square - **Website:** - **Primary alias:** `blacksquare.works` ## Description Black Square is an independent brand dedicated to bespoke 1:18 scale replicas of Land Rovers and other cars with personal significance to their owners. Founded by Tom after leaving a corporate career, the business combines craftsmanship with a passion for the Land Rover community. Its commissions are individually built by hand, with each model tailored to represent a customer’s own vehicle rather than a standard factory edition. The process begins with a suitable factory model, which is dismantled and stripped before being customised, painted and reassembled. Details such as the vehicle’s colour, trim, modifications, registration, wear and accessories can be recreated, with parts made by hand or designed and resin-printed. Completed models are mounted in display cases and accompanied by hand-signed, one-of-one plaques. Black Square describes its builds as involving more than 120 hours of human work.
