# BlanketStatement

- **Website:** <https://blanketstatementproject.com>
- **Primary alias:** `blanketstatementproject.com`

## Description

Blanket Statement promotes productive fidgeting as a way for people who knit or crochet to stay focused during talks, meetings, and conference sessions. The project encourages attendees to use their hands rather than turn to their phones, while contributing to a shared charitable effort. In partnership with Project Linus, participants make blankets one knitted or crocheted block at a time, bringing individual contributions together to create warmth for children in need.

Conference attendees can visit the Pickcode booth to collect supplies, learn how to knit, and drop off completed blocks. The requested block size is 7 by 9 inches, with either orientation acceptable; participants are asked to complete a tag so their contribution can be credited. Those who cannot visit the booth can contact Devorah by email for information.

The Blanket Statement website also features blog stories, knitting tutorials, conference updates, and reports on the project’s progress. Its message connects a practical focus aid with hands-on learning, community participation, and charitable giving.
