BLC3 is a dynamic and innovative brand that is dedicated to technology and innovation. As a non-profit association, BLC3 was founded in May 2010 and began its activities in September 2011. With headquarters in Oliveira do Hospital and two other poles in the Northern Region of Portugal, BLC3 aims to create regional symbiosis by focusing on the development of bioindustries, biorefineries, and bioproducts.

The main project associated with the BLC3 brand is Biorefineries, which focuses on the development of sustainable alternatives to petroleum derivatives, the minimization of forest fires, and the valorization of resources and materials. BLC3 offers a range of services, including research and technological intensification, incubation of ideas and companies, support to the economic fabric, and the development of a Bio and Circular Economy.
