## Description

Bear Lake Education Foundation (BLEF) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that has united the Bear Lake Valley community in support of education since 1987. Its work centers on fostering academic excellence across the Bear Lake School District by helping educators and students access resources that promote innovation, enrichment, and equitable opportunity. Through grants, BLEF has funded classroom equipment, books, professional education and training, and a wide range of school projects. Recent awards have supported a middle school STEM drone program, agricultural education, playground equipment, band resources, library improvements, educational field trips, science microscopes, and hands-on learning enhancements. The foundation also offers athletics grants, community scholarships, senior project funds, and support through DonorsChoose. Community members can contribute through donations, fundraisers, and initiatives such as Bear Lake Game Day Flags, while local businesses, corporate donors, and philanthropic grants provide financial and in-kind support. BLEF’s programs aim to give students tools and experiences to thrive, while strengthening teaching and learning throughout the valley.
