## Description

Blessings in a Backpack is a brand dedicated to ensuring that children in our communities have access to food even when they are not at school. It is disheartening to know that one in six kids struggle with access to food for the 65 hours they are not at school. To address this issue, Blessings in a Backpack sends kids home on Fridays with a backpack filled with satisfying and nutritional food, ensuring that they have full bellies over the weekend. With programs in 44 states and Washington D.C., Blessings in a Backpack has provided over 3.1 million hunger-free weekends for children nationwide. To make a difference, you can easily get involved. You can donate to Blessings in a Backpack while dining at your local Red Robin restaurant or organize a Facebook fundraiser to feed the kids in your community. If you have the time or talent, you can also volunteer to support a local Blessings program. By raising awareness for their mission, you can help provide weekend food for one in eight children in America who might otherwise go hungry. Join Blessings in a Backpack on their Backpack Adventure by downloading and capturing pictures with Even Stephen or Plane Jane. Document your adventures on social media and become a part of the impact they're making. To stay updated, you can follow them on social media and subscribe to their quarterly e-newsletter. Let's work together to end the weekend hunger gap and empower individuals and communities to ensure that no child goes hungry.
