# BLinG-Health - **Website:** - **Primary alias:** `bling-health.org` ## Description BLinG-Health, Inc. is a Baltimore-based nonprofit organization dedicated to improving health outcomes for Black girls and young women. Founded by Dr. Tara B. Blackshear, the organization grew from a culturally relevant, school-based, peer-led physical activity program and a recognition that participants needed support beyond fitness. Its approach views health holistically, encompassing physical, mental, and social well-being, and aims to empower young people to build healthier, more sustainable communities. BLinG-Health offers free education, training, and mentoring for girls who want to lead group fitness and other sustainable physical activity programs at school.
