# BLOCK KLIMA PROJEKT - **Website:** - **Primary alias:** `block-klimaprojekt.de` ## Description BLOCK KLIMA PROJEKT is a climate-protection initiative that restores formerly intensively farmed peatland in Saterland-Ramsloh, Germany. The project aims to rewet and revive these areas, helping to halt much of the greenhouse gas emissions associated with their previous agricultural use. According to the organization, restoration can prevent 26 to 33 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions per hectare each year. The initiative offers climate certificates to businesses seeking to address unavoidable CO₂ emissions and improve their environmental performance. Its approach focuses on peatland restoration as a practical contribution to climate protection, while supporting companies in reducing their ecological footprint. Planning is supported by Hofer & Pautz GbR, with external scientific oversight from the University of Greifswald and the University of Münster. The Biological Conservation Association Hunte Weser-Ems (BSH) also provides local support. Founded by entrepreneur and climate advocate Gerhard Block, BLOCK KLIMA PROJEKT shares information about peatlands, climate protection, and its restoration work through its website. Its services connect business climate goals with the conservation and renewal of valuable peatland ecosystems. ## Industries - 🏭 Heavy Industry and Engineering - 🏭 Waste Water and Environmental _(under Heavy Industry and Engineering)_ - 🎗 Community and Society - 🧪 Science and Education - 🧪 Environmental Science _(under Science and Education)_ ## Logos & icons - logo _(primary)_ — PNG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/idrJenauC2/w/164/h/156/theme/light/logo.png?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1792811227315) ## Colors | Name | Hex | Theme | | --- | --- | --- | | Sycamore | #6f8f3b | accent | | Old Brick | #8b2121 | dark | | Celery | #b3d058 | light | ## Fonts - barlow — asset _(google)_ - Droid Serif — asset _(custom)_ --- _Source: _ _See [/llms.txt](/llms.txt) for a full list of agent-readable pages, and [/auth.md](/auth.md) for how agents authenticate._
