# Blogads - **Website:** - **Primary alias:** `blogads.com` - **Founded:** 2002 - **Employees:** 11+ - **Location:** Durham, North Carolina, United States - **Company kind:** PRIVATELY HELD ## Description Blogads.com, based in Durham, NC, was an ad service for bloggers that played a significant role in shaping the landscape of social media advertising. Established in 2002, it witnessed the rise and fall of numerous platforms in the industry. Despite its closure, Blogads.com takes pride in supporting the ideas and initiatives of influential websites such as PerezHilton, DailyKos, TalkingPointsMemo, and TechCrunch, among others. They helped fund these sites, enabling them to make a lasting impact on media content and discourse worldwide. Blogads.com introduced the original 2002 blogad format, which revolutionized advertising through a combination of image and link-filled text. This format, known today as 'native' advertising, became the standard in successful advertising campaigns. Additionally, Blogads.com pioneered self-service advertising, a model that is now widely used by major platforms like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Google. Although the ad-supported blogger dream didn't materialize entirely, Blogads.com remains proud of its contributions in making political blogs viable and supporting the growth of publishing empires such as VOX, BlogHer, and PopSugar. ## Industries - 📊 Marketing and Advertising _(under Business and Consumer Services)_ - 📊 Business and Consumer Services ## Links - [facebook](https://facebook.com/Blogads) - [linkedin](https://linkedin.com/company/blogads.com) ## Logos & icons - logo _(primary)_ — PNG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/idKJKeUfft/w/2201/h/811/theme/dark/logo.png?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1782411259827) - icon _(primary)_ — JPEG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/idKJKeUfft/w/720/h/720/theme/dark/icon.jpeg?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1782411259979) ## Colors | Name | Hex | Theme | | --- | --- | --- | | Sea Buckthorn | #f59b30 | accent | | Cioccolato | #4b270d | dark | | White | #ffffff | light | ## Fonts - -apple-system — asset _(system)_ --- _Source: _ _See [/llms.txt](/llms.txt) for a full list of agent-readable pages, and [/auth.md](/auth.md) for how agents authenticate._
