## Description

The Blomidon Naturalists Society, established in 1974, is a dedicated non-profit organization based in the eastern Annapolis Valley of Nova Scotia. Focused on nature connection, education, and conservation, the Society aims to foster an appreciation for the natural world while advocating for its protection. Serving the community on unceded Mi’kmaq lands, they emphasize respect and collaboration with Indigenous Peoples.

The Society offers a rich array of programs and activities, including monthly nature talks, field trips, webinars, and youth-focused events like "Flying Squirrel Adventures." They actively engage the public through citizen science initiatives, community projects like the Butterflyway Pollinator Project, and climate action storytelling through interactive maps.

Additionally, their publication, "Beyond the Tides," showcases local natural history and conservation stories, inviting members and supporters to contribute to ongoing projects. With a commitment to fostering connections with nature, the Blomidon Naturalists Society serves as a vital hub for environmental education and community involvement.
