## Description

Blue Shade Ranch is an equestrian center in Toulx-Sainte-Croix, in the Creuse region of France, specializing in Western riding and horse breeding. Set across 110 hectares of meadows and woodland near the protected Pierres Jaumâtres site, the ranch also raises Highland cattle outdoors. Its horses include Quarter Horses and Paint Horses, many bred and raised on the property, and the center offers boarding for owners’ horses for stays ranging from one day to a full year.

Riders aged 7 to 77, from beginners to experienced, can take lessons, attend clinics, and join trail rides throughout the year. Facilities include a 50-by-40-metre sand arena, a Mountain Trail course, and pastures for practical riding alongside cattle. Groundwork and building a strong connection between horse and rider are central to the ranch’s approach. Instruction is led by Denis Glenard, a BPJEPS-certified Western riding instructor. Affiliated with the FFE and certified by the French School of Western Riding, Blue Shade Ranch is also recognized for its commitment to animal welfare.
