## Description

Blues Hockey is a jointly operated competitive Tier 3 Rep B hockey program serving players registered with the Blackburn Minor Hockey Association and Eastend Minor Hockey Association in Ontario. Established in its current partnership in 2015, the program brings players from both associations together on combined teams. A committee representing the associations provides governance, and coaches are selected from within the participating organizations and must meet Hockey Canada and Hockey Eastern Ontario requirements.

The Blues offer competitive team opportunities for eligible players from U10 through U18, with tryouts as the entry point. The program focuses on developing hockey skills in a healthy, safe environment while ensuring players have the opportunity to enjoy the game. Rep B hockey requires a substantial commitment from players and families, including time, travel, and readiness to meet team expectations. Compared with house league, teams at many age levels play more league games and spend additional hours practicing; older divisions also have body checking or contact and longer games.
