## Description

BMM Steels, also known as BMM Ispat Limited, is an Indian manufacturing group focused on steel, iron and power. Based in Karnataka, the company operates an integrated production chain that includes ore processing and beneficiation, pellet production, sponge iron, steelmaking and merchant bar rolling. Its products include iron ore pellets, sponge iron, TMT bars, billets and blooms, round bars and alloy steel, along with by-products such as cobbles and fly ash.

BMM’s facilities use continuous casting and other steelmaking processes, with stated flexibility to melt scrap and direct-reduced iron or process hot metal. The company also generates electricity at its Danapur site through captive power plants with a combined capacity of 235 MW. These plants use waste heat recovery and fluidized-bed boiler technologies to supply in-house energy needs and export surplus power to the state or national grid.

The company emphasizes process efficiency, product quality and value addition, and describes its mission as serving infrastructure markets while earning the respect and loyalty of customers, channel partners, employees and suppliers.
