## Description

Motoyama Bowl is a bowling center located above Motoyama Subway Station in Nagoya, Japan. Promoting itself as Nagoya’s only bowling alley with traditional wooden lanes, it offers a distinctive, classic setting for casual games and regular play. First opened in 1969, the center closed in 1990 and reopened in 2008, retaining an old-fashioned atmosphere while welcoming bowlers of all experience levels. Visitors can play alone or with friends, and staff can offer basic guidance to newcomers. Rental equipment includes standard house balls and shoes, as well as lightweight balls and ramps for children. A pro shop helps customers choose bowling balls, shoes, wrist supports and other equipment, and provides adjustments and advice after purchase. The center also hosts tournaments, leagues and staff challenge events, with reservations available for groups of five or more. Suumi Café, opened inside the venue in 2023, serves meals and snacks including teppan Italian spaghetti, pudding a la mode and hot dogs, as well as beer and highballs.
