## Description

Basildon Natural History Society (BNHS) is a registered charity dedicated to preserving the natural history and wildlife of Basildon. Formed in 1968, the society has spent decades advocating for local wildlife conservation and helping people connect with the natural environment. It manages Marks Hill Nature Reserve on behalf of Essex Wildlife Trust, giving members opportunities to participate in practical conservation work, including habitat management and hedge laying.
