Welcome to Bund Ökologische Lebensmittelwirtschaft (BÖLW), the association representing German organic farmers, producers, and retailers. With over 37,000 organic farmers, we prioritize diversity in the field, ensuring healthy soils and ample space for our animals. The demand for organic food is growing, and our 19,572 organic manufacturers and gastronomes are specialists in delivering great taste. In the natural food and retail sector, organic products generate a turnover of €15.3 billion. We advocate for the funding of animal husbandry transformation and aim to secure the principles of precautionary measures and seed patent regulations. Our focus includes reducing pesticide use and promoting research and education in organic farming. We demand fair and sustainable agricultural policies that reward environmental efforts, prioritize animal welfare, and support healthy diets. We also aim to strengthen biodiversity, protect soils, climate, and water, and promote organic food in kitchens nationwide.
