Bogocine is the most significant platform for the Audiovisual Industry in Colombia's capital city, Bogota. Established in 1984, it has become the oldest and most prestigious film festival in the region. This year, Bogocine celebrates its 40th edition, showcasing a diverse range of films from around the world. In 2022, the festival received a remarkable 2,000 film submissions from 72 countries. The event, held from October 20th to 26th, continues to expand its sections and incorporate digital themes, reflecting the current trends in the global film industry. As part of the city's cultural sector, the festival pays homage to renowned artists like Enrique Grau. Bogocine also awards outstanding films and directors with the prestigious Círculo Precolombino in different categories.
