## Description

Bokskogens Hem is a family-style residential care and treatment home in Sweden, located between Hässleholm and Kristianstad. Established in 1991, it has more than 30 years of experience supporting young people. The home accommodates up to six boys and girls aged 13 to 18 who may have psychosocial challenges, difficult social backgrounds, risk-use of alcohol or drugs, or challenging and risky behaviours.

Care is tailored to each young person’s needs and circumstances, with supportive relationships grounded in warmth, empathy and trust. The team uses a salutogenic approach and builds treatment into everyday life, with school and/or practical placements as a foundation. Open communication, participation and shared responsibility are central to the work. Double staffing is provided around the clock to support young people’s safety.

Bokskogens Hem offers residential treatment and collaborates with municipalities across Sweden on placements. Its location near Hässleholm Central Station and Kristianstad Airport helps facilitate cooperation with local authorities from different parts of the country.
