## Description

Bokurano Amimono is a Japan-based knitting initiative that promotes knitting as a creative, calming activity open to everyone. Its guiding message is that knitting is free from restrictions: people can knit alone or together, wherever they are, regardless of age or gender. The organization seeks to loosen stereotypes that knitting is difficult, old-fashioned, or only for certain people, and to help more people discover its possibilities.

Through Amimono College, Bokurano Amimono offers learning experiences that explore knitting, its history, and its place in everyday life. Its introductory lecture, “When the Magic of Knitting Comes Undone,” invites participants to approach the craft with fresh eyes; the site also shares information and photos from past events, including an online knitting expo project. For practical support, the organization provides printable project sheets in Japanese and English, designed to help knitters keep notes on their work. Visitors can follow its social media updates and subscribe to a newsletter, sent approximately monthly, for news and announcements.
