## Description

The County Government of Bomet is the devolved administration serving Bomet County in Kenya’s former Rift Valley Province. Established as a county under the 2010 Constitution, it is headquartered in Bomet Town and serves a population of 875,689, according to the 2019 census. Guided by the principle “The Greatest Good for The Greatest Number,” the government aims to support sustainable economic growth, improve service delivery, strengthen infrastructure, create opportunities for young people and promote community wealth creation.

Its departments cover agriculture, livestock, fisheries and cooperatives; education, youth, sports and vocational training; health services; roads and public works; trade, tourism and investment; and water, sanitation and environmental management, alongside public administration, finance, housing and social services. The county also highlights projects such as early childhood education facilities and ICT infrastructure, and showcases health facilities including Longisa County Referral Hospital and the Dr. Joyce Laboso Mother & Child Wellness Centre. Residents and partners can access county information, public notices, budgets, policies, tenders, bursaries, careers, project reports and online services through its official website.
