## Description

The Big Omaha Maritime Historical Trust is a heritage organisation focused on preserving and sharing the maritime history of Big Omaha and its surrounding communities in New Zealand. Its website brings together historical material on the region’s shipbuilders, sailors, families, vessels and coastal industries, with particular attention to the development of New Zealand scows and the Meiklejohn family’s shipbuilding legacy.
