Bonefish & Tarpon Trust (BTT) is a dedicated conservation organization focused on preserving and restoring the fisheries and habitats of bonefish, tarpon, and permit throughout the Western Hemisphere. Their mission emphasizes the importance of research, stewardship, education, and advocacy to ensure healthy and sustainable fish populations. BTT actively collaborates with universities, governments, and other institutions to address declining fish populations in regions such as the Florida Keys and South Florida. Through scientific research and practical initiatives, BTT aims to develop actionable knowledge for improving fishery health, while advocating for better regulations to protect these vital ecosystems. The organization also engages the public with educational resources, including handling guidelines and conservation materials, as well as opportunities for youth involvement through programs like Youth Ambassadors. BTT’s efforts are complemented by partnerships with fishing clubs, and they offer a variety of donation options to support their ongoing mission in marine conservation, ensuring the vitality of bonefish, tarpon, and their habitats for future generations.
