## Description

Bonitum is a Polish association working to support people with intellectual disabilities, founded through the commitment of parents seeking better opportunities for their adult children. It welcomes families, caregivers and others who share its values, and aims to provide practical, person-centred support that strengthens individual and social skills.

Its main service is the Bonitum Community Self-Help Centre, a daytime support facility for up to 30 adults with intellectual disabilities. The centre offers individual and group activities based on partnership and respect for each participant. The association also provides personal assistance and respite care, helping people with disabilities and their families in everyday life.

Bonitum promotes inclusion and participation through sports, tourism, cooking and theatre activities, as well as public campaigns, films and conferences. Its projects include inclusive sports events, cycling and mountain activities, professional assistance initiatives, and training related to accessibility and emergency preparedness. The association is developing its “House under the Tree” project as a next step in expanding community services.
