# Bonkhörn - **Website:** - **Primary alias:** `bonkhorn.nl` ## Description Stichting Speelweek Bonkhörn organizes an annual summer holiday activity week for children in and around Loppersum, in the northern Netherlands. Held during the final week of the regional summer break, the event offers five days of outdoor play for children aged 6 to 12, generally those in primary school years 3 through 8. Activities take place on the field behind the Boshal sports hall and are guided by volunteers. A central feature of the week is building pallet huts in groups with children of similar ages. Participants can also paint their huts, dance, craft, take part in themed evenings and games, tackle an obstacle course, and enjoy snacks and Bonkhörn cordial. Children aged 9 to 11 also go canoeing. The program and practical updates are shared through the event’s Lolkraant. Participation includes building materials, activities, a Wednesday outing, and a themed T-shirt, with reduced-cost access available through the Eemsdelta municipality’s Kansshop for eligible families.
