## Description

The BookPoints Project is a dynamic initiative dedicated to enhancing summer reading programs at public libraries through open source software. It aims to empower libraries by providing the tools necessary to create and manage comprehensive and engaging summer reading websites. The project offers a variety of services, including affordable managed hosting, extensive support, training, and resources tailored to maximize reading program success.

The BookPoints application features a user-friendly, mobile-compatible interface designed for patrons of all ages. It enables librarians to tailor programs for diverse reading groups and incorporates gamification elements, like points and badges, to motivate participation. Users can enjoy a seamless prize redemption process and a raffle feature for monthly or end-of-year draws while benefiting from detailed reporting on reading activities.

Managed by The Galecia Group, the BookPoints Project fosters a supportive community that connects librarians and technologists striving to innovate and improve reading initiatives. As the project transitions to its new platform, EasySRP, it continues to deliver valuable resources for libraries.
