## Description

EOD Network offers an innovative service that makes European literary treasures accessible through its eBooks on Demand (EOD) program. Bridging the gap between historical libraries and modern readers, EOD Network digitizes books published from 1500 to 1900, allowing users to request eBooks with just a few clicks via library catalogs. This initiative began with a network of 13 founding libraries and has since expanded to include nearly 40 libraries across 12 European countries. In addition to providing digital access, EOD Network offers the option to order reprints of these historical texts as trade paper books. Their ongoing EODOPEN project, active from 2019 to 2024, aims to further address the challenges of digitizing 20th and 21st-century texts while engaging local communities and training library staff in rights clearance. This commitment ensures a wider variety of reading materials is available to all users, including those with disabilities. EOD Network is a pioneer in making European library collections universally accessible.
