## Description

Borgo Ponticello is a cultural association based in the historic village of Ponticello, in Filattiera, in the province of Massa-Carrara, Italy. Its volunteer members work to share the village’s roots and traditions, bringing its historic setting of tower houses to life through community events and activities. The association’s annual “Mestieri nel Borgo” celebration introduces visitors to traditional crafts and rural work, including chair weaving, ironworking, wool processing, grain threshing, and the crafts of the moleta, ciodin, and chimney sweep. Artists, sculptors, music, and dance also feature in the event. Alongside this central celebration, Borgo Ponticello organizes a masked Carnival parade with allegorical floats, an annual chestnut gathering where guests can enjoy roasted chestnuts, and a Befana celebration for children with gifts. The association presents these experiences as a way to foster an atmosphere connected to the past while welcoming people to discover local heritage. Its website provides information about the village’s history, events, crafts, media, and contact details.
