## Description

Borrby Bokby is a nonprofit association bringing together books, culture and community in Borrby, Sweden. Known as Sweden’s first book town, it promotes the book-town concept through local bookshops, events and activities for readers of all ages. Its hub is Antikvariat Bokhuset, a secondhand and antiquarian bookshop that also serves as the association’s office and meeting point. Visitors can explore other independent bookshops in the village, including seasonal sellers, and browse a varied range of books and related items.

Borrby Bokby offers a lively cultural programme throughout the year. Activities include author visits, book launches, poetry and music events, book circles, literary celebrations and family-friendly events. The association also shares news, reading recommendations and updates through its blog and online channels. Its Bokrundan invites visitors to discover the area’s book-related destinations, while its international connections include the International Organisation of Book Towns and visits to other book towns. Whether stopping by to browse, joining a discussion or attending an event, visitors can experience a welcoming community shaped by a shared enthusiasm for books and literature.
