## Description

Boston Cyberarts is a non-profit arts organization that has been uniting the worlds of art and technology since the last millennia. They foster, develop, and present a wide spectrum of media arts, including electronic and digital experimental arts programming. Their mission is to exhibit and promote the media and digital arts of Boston, New England, and the world to audiences in the New England region and beyond, while also promoting a sense of media and digital literacy locally and regionally.

The organization is best known for organizing the Boston Cyberarts Festival, a biennial festival that brings together artists and high-technology professionals from New England and around the world. The festival features exhibitions of visual arts, music, dance, theatrical performances, film and video presentations, educational programs, and symposia. The festival takes place at various locations in and around Boston, including theaters, museums, galleries, artists' studios, educational institutions, and public spaces.

In addition to the festival, Boston Cyberarts also manages the Boston Cyberarts Gallery, which is located in the Green Street station on the MBTA's Orange line in Jamaica Plain. This unique gallery supports and encourages experimental practices in contemporary art making through exhibitions, events, educational programs, and collaborations with like-minded groups. The gallery focuses on technology-based, innovative combinations of sculpture, installation, and live performance, and it serves as a platform for emerging and established artists in the new media community.

Boston Cyberarts also collaborates with Art Technology New England (ATNE), a member-run organization that fosters collaborations in the art and technology communities in New England. They work together to organize salons and educational events.

In addition to their festival and gallery, Boston Cyberarts is known for their public art projects. One of their notable projects is "Art on The Marquee," an ongoing commissioning project that displays public media art on the 80-foot-tall multi-screen LED marquee outside the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center in South Boston. This project integrates art alongside commercial and informational content, making it an innovative and unique way to showcase digital art in a public space.

Overall, Boston Cyberarts is dedicated to pushing the boundaries of art and technology, showcasing innovative and experimental works, and fostering collaborations within the art and technology communities.
