## Description

Boston Music Awards (BMAs) is an organization dedicated to celebrating and supporting Boston’s music community. Founded in 1987, it recognizes local artists, music industry leaders, venues, and others who contribute to the city’s music scene. The awards bring people together across genres through performances, recognition, and opportunities for collaboration, while highlighting the people and places that help Boston music thrive.

The BMAs extend beyond an annual awards show, presenting music programs and live events throughout the year. Their annual awards program features nominees across multiple categories, with fans invited to vote for their favorites. The organization also offers tickets, including VIP tickets, for its 2026 event, scheduled for December 16. Its website provides information about nominees, voting, tickets, frequently asked questions, and press and media inquiries. Through these activities, Boston Music Awards connects audiences with the local music community and gives artists and industry participants a platform for recognition. The organization describes its mission as celebrating, supporting, and bringing the community together through music.
