## Description

Botany 2024, themed "Resilience in a Changing World," is a premier conference organized by the Botanical Society of America, focusing on the vital role of plants in adapting to environmental changes. This year's logo creatively features native Michigan plants that exemplify resilience, such as the heartleaf arnica (Arnica cordifolia), a noteworthy endangered species that thrives across North America and has a rich history of medicinal use. Another highlight is the prairie golden alexanders (Zizia aptera), a state-level threatened species known for its distinctive yellow flowers. The logo also incorporates the yellow lady's slipper orchid (Cypripedium parviflorum), renowned for its widespread presence and conservation stability. Lastly, the netted chain fern (Woodwardia areolata) symbolizes historical botanical significance in Michigan. Beyond the impressive logo, Botany 2024 offers a range of activities, including workshops, field trips, and symposia, creating a collaborative platform for botanists and plant enthusiasts to explore and celebrate plant science. Join us in uncovering the resilience of flora amidst the challenges facing our world.
