## Description

BotInbox is an email infrastructure platform designed to give AI agents dedicated inboxes they can use to send, receive, and reply to real email. Currently in private beta, the service provides access through a REST API, MCP server, TypeScript client, and command-line interface. Agents can receive parsed, threaded messages, search inboxes, wait for matching emails or verification codes, and respond within existing conversations.

The platform supports transactional and batch email sending, delivery tracking, signed webhooks, and live event streams. Users can create inboxes for individual agents, customers, or test runs, with inboxes organized into pods and messages available for inspection in a dashboard. BotInbox also offers tools for conversation labels and insights, sentiment and outcome tracking, and human handoff. Guardrails allow agents to save drafts for review, with replies held until a person resolves a handoff or approves a send.

Organizations can use custom domains on paid plans, with DNS setup and verification support.
