## Description

Boxing South Africa (BSA) is the national authority for professional boxing in South Africa, describing itself as a leading sport code and a world-class boxing authority. Established in 2001, it oversees the sport and works with boxers, promoters, clubs, licensees and other stakeholders to promote boxing, protect its integrity and support its development. Its stated values include professionalism, accountability, leadership and diversity, with a boxer-centric approach at the heart of its work.

BSA provides online registration and licensing for professional boxers, publishes lists of approved licensees, and manages tournament applications, schedules and results. Its website also offers men’s and women’s ratings, fight-review information, requirements for competing abroad, forms, documents, regulations and annual reports. The authority supports governance through committees for discipline, arbitration and ratings, and shares news and event information with the boxing community. Its Women in Boxing initiative and safeguarding work reflect its attention to participation and inclusion. Boxers and stakeholders can find contact details, resources, career and tender notices, and upcoming tournament information through the BSA website.
