## Description

Beds Prostate Cancer Support Group (BPCSG) is a Bedfordshire-based charity established in 2014 by people affected by prostate cancer. It supports men with prostate cancer and their spouses, partners, carers, relatives and friends, offering encouragement, practical information and advice during a challenging time. The group helps people understand treatment choices and can connect them with a patient-led support service whose telephone lines are open daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

BPCSG also works to increase awareness of prostate cancer among men of all ages and help them recognise symptoms so they can seek early diagnosis. Its activities include organising PSA testing events across Bedford, mid-Bedfordshire and Luton, as well as offering home testing kits. The group raises funds for the Prostate Cancer Unit at Bedford Hospital. Previous donations have helped the hospital acquire specialist software to improve prostate cancer detection. Through its support, awareness, testing and fundraising work, BPCSG aims to help individuals and families access information and contribute to improved local care and research.
